I started with using similar photo editing apps in the industry to see which ones feels easy, what their quirks are, how differently some apps make use of space, tools, UI, haptic, visual and sonic responses. Apps I tried were - Adobe express, adobe lightroom, canva, VSCO, picsart, polish, snapseed, remini, photoroom, instagram and some camera apps.

Sketches, Wireframes, iterations

After examining similar apps, I realized we could create a better AI-based editing app. At that time, AI was still a novel concept with much unexplored potential. Our goal was to design an app with seamless flow that worked flawlessly from start to finish. We began by experimenting with the main magic eraser app, then the other apps and lastly the other screens like home page, gallery, sign up, on boarding.
